Susan has some amazing fantasies about Dr.
Brad Conway. Unfortunately, when she's anywhere near the handsome surgeon, she's a
tongue-tied catastrophe. Along comes Brad's friend Alicia, a horse trainer with a
talent for magic and matchmaking.
Trapped at Alicia's home during an ice storm, Susan is thrilled to be on the receiving end of some fascinating, sensual advances from Brad. When she keeps encountering magical occurrences like a wolf-whistling cabinet, spoons stirring by themselves and a cat with an unerring ability to appear and disappear, not to mention change its own collar, she must decide if she believes in magic. But believing has a downside, because now she has a new problem to consider. Is Brad's passion for her real or is it part of a spell?

Magical romance . . .
Magical things begin to happen when Susan meets Alicia. The problem is that she isn't sure if Brad's interest in her is real or if it is Alicia's magic.
I was captivated by Never Trust A Matchmaking Witch the plot is imaginative and entertaining. The characters are well developed. Mary Paine is a talented writer. She combined a bit of humor, a dash of magic, and a spoonful of romance, creating one delightful read.
Night Owl Romance Reviewer Top Pick. Score: 4.5/5
I found this story to be a fun, light paranormal read that kept me thoroughly entertained until the very last page. I was laughing out loud over the magical antics Alicia and her Wiccan friends were up to. I was so happy how everything turned out for Susan and Brad and that everyone pitched in to help Misty, Alicia's horse, while she was delivering her foal during a complicated birthing.
This was a fun and extremely amusing story that I think will entertain anyone who picks it up. I'm new to this author and her work and judging by this story, I
assure you I will be reading many more of Ms. Paine's stories in the future.
The Romance Studio Review
Susan is shy and embarrassingly inept when an attractive man is around. She fanaticizes about the extremely hot Dr. Brad Conway but the only time he ever notices her she is stumbling over herself or tongue-tied. Then Susan and her niece get an opportunity for Jen to ride and take lessons from a horse trainer with a touch of magic named Alicia. And it just so happens that this barn is the barn where Brad keeps his horse. With a chance to see the sexy doctor away from work, will Susan be able to get to know him and relax? And why does Susan suspect that the strange things that keep happening around her have something to do with Alicia, is Alicia a witch with an agenda?
Never Trust a Matchmaking Witch is a very cute and sentimental story with a great twist of fun. Susan is a smart, cute, and caring woman but her shyness is keeping her from showing her interest in Brad. Brad is a successful and sexy doctor that women seem to flock to. And Brad is interested in Susan but doesnąt think she likes him because she flees every time he tries to talk to her. Alicia, a friend of Bradąs, decides this couple just needs a little magical intervention. But Alicia and her friendąs humorous and mysterious antics have Susan thinking that she is losing her mind. Even the horses seem to be unusual and Susan is starting to thank that Alicia really is a witch.
I was delighted with the zany cast of characters in the charming tale. Mary Paine is a new author to me but I will be looking for more of her work. I enjoyed her quirky sense of humor and zany characters. If you are looking for a story to charm, entertain, and appeal to your sense of humor, then look no further than Never Trust a Matchmaking Witch!

Susan thinks she's losing her mind. She's seeing things, hearing things, and has this feeling that something unexplained is happening all around her. She doesn't believe in magic or witches, but can't quite put her finger on the 'magical' things and people that are popping into her life.
The shy and timid Susan is an amazing character that we all can relate to. Her self-esteem is a bit lacking and she doesn't see herself as the amazing person that she is. She works too hard and would do anything for her family, especially her niece. Despite all the unexplainable things that start happening, her fantasy seems to be coming to life; Brad. Who wouldn't fall for him? He's gorgeous, smart, and attentive and on top of it all, loves animals.
Ms. Paine put together a delightful story that had me giggling and entranced from the first page. The story is filled with magic and love, with a bit of comedy thrown in for good measure. This story is a must for anyone who believes in fairy godmothers and happily ever afters.
